I just picked up a Hammarlund Comet Pro, variation 5, which
dates to about 1935.

I desperately need these things for my restoration:

-- MANUAL or SCHEMATIC, a.s.a.p.!
-- I need to know what kind of speaker I can use with
this -- will buy your early Hammarlund speaker!
-- My receiver is MISSING the coils which go in the
two cans in the center of the receiver. They have
five-pin ceramic sockets. I will have to buy original
coils or else homebrew my own. DATA ON THESE COILS
is needed! I would also like to get appropriate coil
forms for this. Since it's a 4-band receiver (1.5-20
[SPACEBAR TO CONTINUE] Mc/s) I will need 8.

just finished writing ibbs-extract3, which is part 2 of my wwiv5ibbslastcaller package. xwibbslastcaller.py was part 1.

xwibbslastcaller.py handles posting a rot47 encoded message with basic caller info on logon to a networked sub.

ibbs-extract3 reads data from networked subs of rot47 encoded messages and generates a laston.txt file for each network.

currently works on #WWIVnet and #fsxNet

hah! #fidonet configs for my #WWIV #BBS broke. it's been running WWIV v5.xx from 2015~, so there have been many new developments since then.

the currently running BBS at https://aliens.ph still uses dosemu to process #fidonet packets, using WWIVToss by Craig Dooley. at the time i set up the bbs, none of the WWIV networking tools had been ported to linux. to join #WWIVnet with linux, the BBS itself could run natively, but you needed dosemu for net32.

i run a #WWIV #BBS using modified/patched sources of the https://github.com/wwivbbs/wwiv project. my BBS is named Aliens' Alcove/Abode and is part of #WWIVnet, #FidoNet and #fsxNet. it is accessible via the web here http://aliens.ph, via "telnet aliens.ph" or by using a terminal program.
