Das meiste sind kleine TIC-Files...

Das arme FFS tut sich bei 3700 Files schon etwas schwer... oder DOpus 4...

Ich denke, nach 2 Stunden wird amibinkd oder ifcico die Verbindung beenden...

UPDATE:
60 MB sind ungefaehr das, was ich damals an 2 Tagen UUCP aus Muenster per ISDN und R50 Tarif an Usenet gepollt habe.
Ich glaube, per uucico von Matthias Supp... da bin ich dann auch ueber irgendwelche Problemchen gestolpert und schwuppdiwupp, was ich Betatester...

Meshcore-Geräte per Kommandozeile zu konfigurieren erinnert mich an die Konfiguration von Modems mit AT-Kommandos.
In mir kommen starke 90er-Gefühle hoch. Vielleicht gefällt mir MeshCore deshalb so gut. Das hat durchaus ein paar Ähnlichkeiten mit Mailbox (bei MeshCore: Room Servers) und FidoNet (Mesh). 🙂

These were - especially once #Fidonet came along the first decentralized and literally federated social media platforms. I do expect there was likely some lessons learned back then which could inform future choices of the open social web we have today.

My thinking as a larval geek was greatly influenced by FidoNet (and radical-to-me idea that one could run FTNs). When I saw a tj show up in my feed I though "surely not THAT tom jennings..." Very pleased to have been wrong. 🙂

Решил написать небольшую заметку по настройке командной оболочки FreeBSD. В первую очередь для себя, как шпаргалку. Заметка получалась не очень большой и не такой уж интересной. Тогда попробовал объяснить, почему именно FreeBSD и вообще *BSD. Написал небольшое пояснение. И оно оказалось не про BSD. Написал ещё абзац. И снова ни слова про BSD. «Да ёлы-палы!» — решил я и написал, как знакомился с компьютерами. Но и тут про BSD оказалось немного. Значит, судьба, решил я. Про BSD будет в другой раз. Наверное. А в этот раз опишу путь к компьютеру подростка с конца 80-х по начало 2000-х. Для более полного погружения в атмосферу тех лет я добавил фотографии и скриншоты, которые кому-то могут показаться лишними при беглом рассмотрении.
