Ummm … I could have sworn the X marker being made legally available on #Alberta #identification documents by amending the Alberta #VitalStatistics Act was under the PC government, when Hancock was premier, not the NDP.

This was a response to the C.F. v Alberta (2014) Charter decision to allow people the right to amend their own documents.

Otherwise, good summary of terrible ideas against trans people's health and safety.

It's astounding to see their agenda on these matters. The Progressive Conservatives in 1972 were progressive enough to be among the first provinces in #Canada to amend #VitalStatistics laws to establish a legal path for #trans people to obtain proper ID documents, recognising our existence and proof thereof as critical to fundamental freedoms.

We were also the sole province to fund access to #GRS for decades.

But the UCP support our existence? Nope. 😡
