Then Jason says, “I memorized everybody else’s lines too. Try me.” Kevin throws Jason’s lines at him & Jason comes back with all the responses without fail.
Kevin’s in shock & asks why he learned all the lines, and Jason says, “I didn’t want to piss off that Rickman dude.”

...but that he’s a legitimately trained actor who did Shakespeare & theater. He told him Rickman’s on his game & he’ll make you look like a fool if you’re not prepared.
So later they come together to start getting ready to film & they’re running lines & Jason shows up without his script & Kevin asks him where it is.
Jason says, “I don’t need it. I got all my lines memorized. Try me.” So Kevin throws some scenes & him & Jason’s got it down cold...

Any fans of the movie "Dogma"? Here's a funny story from the View Askew universe:
Kevin Smith was discussing Dogma at a university lecture & he told a story about how before the filming, he explained to Jason Mewes that he needed to be on his best behavior for this movie & really take it seriously because they’d gotten a “real” actor—Alan Rickman—to be in it.
Mewes didn’t know who Rickman was at first & Kevin told him it was Hans Gruber from "Diehard"...
