Last week Victoria Police revoked their 'designated area' declaration 4 months early ahead of a Federal Court challenge.

It's generally expected that the Police will reinstate the declaration after the challenge concludes.

The Federal Court challenge is in the middle of day 2 and is being live streamed (it's not recorded so you can't catch up) if you're interested in super boring lawyer speak.

Vic police said 5k was the combined figure for both the xenophobic gathering led by Sewell *and* the diametrically opposed weekly anti-racist, anti-genocide pro-Palestine march.

And again - when police perform high arrest "task forces" like this, it's based on intelligence they've been refusing to act on.

That means this is thousands of domestic violence reports they deliberately didn't act on so they could wait until it would get media coverage.

That's thousands of women and children that they kept in danger so they could get a headline.

How many of the women murdered by their partners and ex-partners over the last year had previously reported the danger they were in without it being acted on by the cops?
