The best I know use a worn out 12+ yr old notebook you can't separate them from, several Macs, NUCs, Raspberry Pis, Orange Pis, etc... running various OSes, have multiple screens, incl one oriented vertical, while they do 90% of their computing in multiplexed text terminals…

(And increasingly have 3d printers & DIY their own computers & have switched to dumb phones & mesh networks )
