Does anyone around here run #BSD on a Raspberry #Pi, in production? (Trying it for a month and then hopping to something else doesn't count.)

I've been trying, and I've had terrible luck, specifically with the file system. It seems that after a year or so, corruption is inevitable. The best luck I've had is with #NetBSD, but as of this morning that also seems to have ultimately failed.

I'm not sure whether this is a Pi issue, an SD card issue, or a me-not-doing-something-right issue.

If you run an #ActivityPub / #fediverse node and it goes offline for a time, do other nodes stop federating with it and treat it as dead? What would the timeout for that be? Wondering how low availability is tolerated.

Turns out the way to get a #slackware #LXC container working is to create a VM with a disk backend, loopmount that disk and use it as the container's rootfs.
