As usual a good in depth report from #ITV (who still excel at #crime reporting) - in which they confirm the lad had indeed been #hooning #cars that belonged to his customers, and worse, he didn't even have a valid #driving #licence or #insurance at the time!

He had tried to delete the videos, but the old bill must have put a #Cellebrite set on his phone - they've got a few of them and work with #AdastralPark for stuff like this, there's also a special #Cybercrime unit that #SuffolkConstabulary operate in some rural area like #Saxmundham

I counted 2 * #BMW, a #Mercedes #AMG and a #GolfR in the video (if you own one of these, be very careful who you trust with #detailing / #valeting or even any #repair work!)

Lad from (now closed) father and son #detailing / #valeting company in #Felixstowe #Suffolk got 4 years #prison for #hooning a customers car in a busy surburban street, and crashing in to a pedestrian leading to a #fatality (whilst this #sentence seems light, its due to a guilty plea at Crown Court (would have started at 10 years otherwise, reduced by 2 years due to offenders young age)

His own middle aged dad didn't set him a very good example and refused to communicate with or compensate the owner of the GTR that was crashed

"Cat wash" of #VW #GolfGTI with #KochChemie #RRW (Rapid Rinseless Wash) and just 8 litres of water (recovered from the condensate tank of the tumble dryer at my house!) - about as eco-friendly as you can get (also it is way too hot to be dealing with the pressure washer, multiple buckets etc using Anglian water at 300+ppm that will dry on the panels and leave waterspots everywhere)

Edit: The tyres were also treated to #Autoglym tyre dressing (the thick purple stuff) and plastic trims to "Vinyl and Rubber care"

Exterior #bodywork wasn't in too bad shape (a few touch up repairs have been done over the years, there's usual stone chips but the #car had recently had a machine polish (I could tell by the residue left in odd corners!) and paint wasn't badly swirled, only needed a rinseless wash, a bit of hand polishing and a single stage machine polish on the doors and bonnets to get good results.

#Exhaust tips had been neglected, managed to make them a bit better with fine steel wool (the brillo stuff with soap) -- some chrome plating has flaked due to carbon being baked on still doesn't look too bad.

Also cleaned up inside of petrol tank flap (something I'm likely to be seeing rather a lot of as this car is a tad more thirsty than my last one!) #detailing #valeting

#KochChemie #RRW (rapid #rinseless wash) works well (I had over last 2 weeks also done a single stage paint correction with the DA polisher I bought a few years back but hadn't had the spoons to use (felt like I was shaken to bits!) & topped with #BiltHamber Double Speed-wax) - today a random postie delivering a parcel to my office noticed me cleaning interior (as I'd hauled out everything for MOT earlier today) and complimented me on how good the car looked! #detailing #valeting #cars

I recently got a new pressure washer (and managed to tap the water supply from the kitchen at my office), so at the weekend valeted the 2001Suzuki Ignis (purchased second hand as a pool car) as well as my Polo - more a mini valet than full #detail - I was running out of time due to darkness approaching and had to clay and polish the bonnet to remove gaffer tape residue (from an L-plate the previous owner had stuck there), but it looked better than before)
