Semi-Annual reminder that Val Doonican's version of Windmills of Your Mind is the best version

I love the way he hands the reins to his backing singers halfway through then nonchalantly comes back in on the line "pictures hanging in a hallway" it's the coolest.

The band start to really cook the groove towards the end, but don't overdo it, it is easy listening after all.

Val rocks, but gently.

I think it is perfection.

Conversation with my neighbour, #TheColonel (I listen, he talks)
"Humph. #Eurovision, what eh? Blighty didn't do that well again.
AND it won't, my boy, it won't, not until they get decent British singers back on board. #ValDoonican, that's who they need. Mark my words. O'Rooney the Ratcatcher that sort of song. What, eh?"
And off he went muttering about Val Doonican. #LifeinNordbyParva
