I voted in TWO elections in two different states! In NH I went down to my local polling place and voted for gov, congress, state leg, etc. I also voted NO on the misguided proposal to allow control of the Vermont State Employees Credit Union (#VSECU) to be handed over to a bigger competitor for no consideration. Today's the last day to vote no on that one -- and, if you're a @VSECU member you can do it on line. There's also a meeting in Barre.
@mattcropp fyi, #VSECU has been blacklisted for blocking #Tor and allowing #Cloudflare to snoop on customers financial data: https://git.disroot.org/cyberMonk/liberethos_paradigm/src/branch/master/usa_banks.md

@Canvasian @Canvasian our club's treasurer is a Member service rep at a local #creditunion (#VSECU) here in #Vermont! 🤑
@ink_slinger Basically, it's a #consumercoop owned by its depositors, who democratically elect the board of directors on a 1 member 1 vote basis. In many #creditunions that's a formality, but the good ones have pretty robust democracy and commitment to supporting the broader #coop economy. #VanCity in Vancouver is one of the most progressive, and, where I live, #VSECU does a great job - they recently created a #CoopCapital program to make equity investments in other #coops.
