The current VR headset market disappoints me a little. At this point I'd probably just buy another Index kit if something happened to my current one (assuming they're still sold).

It feels like all the new stuff coming out is either overpriced or has too many compromises.

All I need is a headset with decent specs, good durability, a good microphone, and is easy to set up and use.

I'd like eye and face tracking too, but since I know most of my avatars won't support it without paying someone to set it up, it's not as big of a deal for me.

PL: Projekty open hardware to częsta i bardzo lubiana rzecz świata VR. Jednakże ten jest imponujący na tak wielu poziomach że nie wiem co. Jestem pewien że wykonanie całości będzie kosztowne, ale bazowanie całości na drewnie, i niewielkiej ilości mechanicznych części czynie całość naprawdę fantastyczną i przemyślaną.

EN: Open hardware projects are a common and much loved thing of the VR world. However, this one is impressive on so many levels that I don't know what. I'm sure it will be expensive to make the whole thing, but basing the whole thing on wood, and a small number of mechanical parts makes the whole thing really fantastic and thoughtful.
