While I would love to see official government adoption of fediverse tech in Usonia, government at all levels seems entirely content to leverage commercial walled gardens. Happily, Canada has an added motivation to wrest its official communications from the grips of the Usonian elite.

As someone becoming more politically active, one thing I've discovered is just how isolated our economic discussions are. It pretty much boils down to taxes, environment, and free trade or no when in actuality, we need to be looking at a more holistic system. From farming, logistics, manufacturing, extraction, harvesting, healthcare, assembly, sales, and capital; a lot of our economic discussions are horribly limited to our detriment.
