Madame la Présidente, Mesdames et Messieurs les Députés, Nous, citoyennes et citoyens de la République française, observons avec une consternation croissante la spirale de violence au Proche-Orient. L'incapacité de la communauté internationale à garantir une paix juste et durable impose une révision radicale de l'approche diplomatique. Nous rappelons que la paix durable est impossible tant que perdure l'occupation de territoires palestiniens, une situation structurelle que la diplomatie internationale, y compris la France, ne peut plus se contenter d'observer. La situation actuelle se caractérise par des violations flagrantes des principes du Droit International Humanitaire (DIH), notamment de la Quatrième Convention de Genève. La France, nation fondatrice des Nations Unies et membre permanent de son Conseil de Sécurité, a le devoir historique et moral de proposer une nouvelle dynamique. L'heure n'est plus à la simple condamnation des événements, mais à la mobilisation active de la communauté mondiale derrière un objectif commun : "United for Peace" (Unis pour la paix).Notre pays doit cesser d'être un observateur pour devenir l'initiateur d'une solution durable. Cela implique de rétablir immédiatement l'horizon politique de la solution des deux États comme cadre de référence unique et contraignant pour la paix. La politique de la France doit être guidée par l'indépendance et le respect du droit des peuples à disposer d'eux-mêmes. Ce principe, fondamental à l'identité républicaine française, nous engage à soutenir la dignité et l'autodétermination de tout peuple vivant sous occupation. La présente pétition demande à l'Assemblée nationale d'appeler solennellement le Gouvernement français à engager les actions suivantes : 1. Mandater le Président pour l'ONU : Nous appelons l'Assemblée nationale à user de son influence pour demander au Président de la République de se faire le promoteur de l'initiative "United for Peace" à l'échelle mondiale en saisissant formellement l'Organisation des Nations Unies. 2. Objectifs de l'Initiative "United for Peace" : Cette initiative, portée par la France à l'ONU, devra être établie sur la base des Résolutions 242 et 338 du Conseil de Sécurité et avoir pour buts fondamentaux : -L'établissement d'un cadre multilatéral contraignant pour la mise en œuvre de la solution des deux États. -La création d'un fonds international de garantie pour la paix et la reconstruction dans la bande de Gaza. -L'institution d'une force d'interposition et de surveillance internationale pour sécuriser les frontières et le processus de paix. -Soutien à la Souveraineté et au Droit : La France doit s'engager activement à obtenir la fin de l'occupation des territoires palestiniens et à soutenir sans équivoque les enquêtes des juridictions internationales pour tous les crimes commis, sans exception, afin de garantir la justice et la stabilité future. "L'histoire jugera notre action. La France doit être au rendez-vous de la paix."

The Trump administration is facing growing criticism for suspending visas for Palestinian passport holders, including for Palestinian officials set to attend the annual U.N. General Assembly this month. When the U.S. denied a visa to Yasser Arafat to address the U.N. in 1988, the General Assembly was moved to Geneva — the U.N. faces similar calls now. The move by the U.S. is “an indication of the unprecedented degree to which the U.S. government has handed the levers of its foreign policy over to the Israeli regime,” says Craig Mokhiber, an international human rights lawyer who formerly served as the director of the New York Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. He resigned in October 2023 over the U.N.’s failure to adequately address large-scale atrocities in Palestine and Israel. Mokhiber also says there is more the U.N. could do to stop the genocide in Gaza. The General Assembly has the ability to circumvent the Security Council with a “United for Peace” resolution that could force “concrete action” in Gaza.
Should the security council fail, the case will then shift in the ends of the General Assembly, which by invoking #UnitedForPeace, “UNGA”, can call on all nations to vote in favor of a decisive and fully binding resolution.
The decisions taken by the United for Peace motion, can not be vetoed.
It’s time for us to raise our voices together.
Families are living in unimaginable fear and uncertainty, torn apart by the cruelty of hostage-taking. These hostages are our brothers, sisters, parents, and children – they are loved, they are missed, and they deserve to come back home.
No one should be a pawn in political games or a victim of violence. We must demand their immediate and safe return.
Let’s stand united and send a clear message: Bring our hostages home NOW!
