After being inspired by the beautiful knitted nativity in our reception area, the children decided to create their own version- using cardboard, tissue paper, imagination and a whole lot of teamwork.

Young children don’t need to know about the details of war- instead, we can help them connect with the ideas of remembering, caring, and saying thank you to people who help keep others safe.
Our visit to the Stone Recreation Ground Memorial, where the children laid their handmade poppy wreath, helped them connect with this idea- that remembering can be a peaceful, thoughtful act of gratitude. 💮
