I'll be surprised if the Undead Murder Farce anime gets a second season. While the anime was fairly well received, the same isn't true for the light novel and manga. I doubt this series is much of a financial success.

Overall, I was unimpressed by Undead Girl Murder Farce. It doesn't really do anything unique and just hits all the tropes of fantasy mystery anime. It even includes such characters as Sherlock Holmes, Lupin, and Jack the Ripper.

Undead Murder Farce - a thoroughly fun series that combines classic literature, murder mystery and fantasy with very fun characters.

Vinland Saga 2, following up the grim and dark first season with character growth and a hopeful message, but also some really touching sad moments.

I'm on the fence about #UndeadMurderFarce because I want to learn more about Aya and her compatriots but it's become Victorian mystery lit fanfic which is such a swerve from the premise.

I didn't know I *needed* a bishie Phantom of the Opera, but guess what? We get one.

I finished #UndeadMurderFarce this week and I have to say it’s my favorite from the summer season.

The mix of clever mystery that is closely tied to specific supernatural creatures and action worked really well. The addition of famous characters from late 19th / early 20th Century fiction is another cool gimmick. Sugaru, Aya and Shizuku are fun to watch interact, too.
Finally, as shown by a long thread I wrote the other day it’s possible to collect the clues and guess along with the mystery. I had fun doing that.
And damn, the opening theme is still stuck in my head.
