If I was more jingoistic, I might refer to this series of photographs as “the ultimate in FAFO”, but instead it’s just deeply sobering to have finally completed my circuit of an incredibly dark time in our species’ #history.

(One whose long shadow still reaches to the present day, naturally. Given how many times we came close to repeating this mistake, it’s a miracle we’re all still here to get wiped out slowly by climate change instead.)
