@mike

This kind of thing keeps me from trying to get back into I.T. --

I have to pretend that crap like MS Windows is homehow ok, let alone good.

Kinda hard to work in an industry where your gut reaction is something along the lines of, "Yeah, you could run that, like everyone else, or you could actally muster up some self-respect..."

That's not even a #FOSSbro / #UNIXbro / #NeckBeard attitude... most software nowadays is just that bad and unethical. :(

LISTEN UP, Mr. pacman,
If 80 columns was enough for Thomson, Ritchie, and Kernighan to create UNIX, it's enough for me and you.

:P~

#honoraryNeckbeard #UnixBro

@jhx

Gotta be able to make fun of myself. 😁
Or am I merely making fun of how others see me?

As per usual, too many layers of sarcasm/irony to reliably parse. 😂

#wayland #debian #ubuntu #unixbro

@RL_Dane
#Wayland has been totally fine for me. Running it on #Debian (Gnome) or #Ubuntu (Also, Gnome)
So far I personally have not had any issues... but again, YMMV

All in all: It works 🙂

btw: That #unixbro tag is great 😎

I'm wondering if it's about time for this clean-shaven #unixbro #neckbeard to switch to #Wayland. 🤔

It seems X11 is really coming to a crossroads and turning into maintenance-mode software.
At this point, it runs fine even on my 12th-Gen intel machine, but if I ever get newer hardware (not anytime soon, obvs.), I might need to make the switch. :/
