Geebus, having #Linux predominantly displayed on one’s profile apparently causes the, “when will Bozo introduce the assisted butt-wiping service for #Amazon Prime subscribers” crowd to ASSume one is a “#FOSSBro”. Whatever that is. I think THAT may explain how tRump got the votes that he claimed. That & an assist from #techbro Elonia Muskrat.
I don’t code. I use the most Windoz-like version of Linux coz it just works & does anything Windoz ever did for me.

I learned a new term here today.
It is "fossbro" which is very similar to "techbro" but poor.

Suuure thing #FossBro, my neighbor Edgar who just wants to format his USB stick will surely benefit from learning everything about lsblk, blkid, fdisk, parted, ls, cd, sudo, mkfs, /dev, filesystems (ext4, btrfs, exfat, f2fs…) etc…
Definitely more beneficial to his life than "go there, click there, finished". Absolutely, there must be something wrong with Edgar! 😤
This kind of thing keeps me from trying to get back into I.T. --
I have to pretend that crap like MS Windows is homehow ok, let alone good.
Kinda hard to work in an industry where your gut reaction is something along the lines of, "Yeah, you could run that, like everyone else, or you could actally muster up some self-respect..."
That's not even a #FOSSbro / #UNIXbro / #NeckBeard attitude... most software nowadays is just that bad and unethical. :(
@alcinnz I'll be using the term #FOSSBro as I want the #FOSS community to discuss this type of negative behavior.
But to be clear, I'll never use this term towards any one person as that is just as bad! I'm not here for a fight.
The FOSS community should be talking about it's culture and what it wants to see more of. Labeling what we don't want is a step in the that direction.
