If you export data from Twitter, it is not in a particular useful format. What you get is a set of html, image, and the data is mostly in JavaScript files.

Here is a new project (still WIP) that converts it to a simplified Markdown representation and removes dependencies to Twitter (e.g. by replacing t.co URLs):
