An extra Christmas treat this week: TuxJam 127 Festive Stormy Break is out. In this episode @mralc, @mcnalu, @thelovebug & @kevie review StormOS #Linux and Breakout 71 on #Android (a special thanks to @rl_dane for the recommendation). This along with a mix of Christmas #CCMusic https://tuxjam.otherside.network/tuxjam-127-festive-stormy-break/
Dave (aka the lovebug), Al, Kevie and Andrew return for our final show of 2025 in which we recount experiences of trying Free and Open Source Software interspersed with tunes sporting Creative Commons licenses. Enjoying this one during the recording of #TuxJam 123
Thanks to @thesaigoneer and @rl_dane for encouraging me to listen to the #TuxJam podcast! (I heard your mentions!)
I subscribe to a few linux based podcasts and always fear a new one is just going to be the same sort of format with the same news. TuxJam is so very different, it's really pleasing. The musical breaks are top-notch too.
All round great listening experience!
The last @Tuxjam podcast is still very much worth listening to. This despite @rl_dane and yours truly being mentioned 😜
Btw, my nom de plume is related to me living and working in Saigon for the last 8 years.
Nice interview with @nikclayton the author of Pachli, a Mastodon client. True advocate for open source, nice guy. Testdriving as we speak.
Extensive look at Refind, by the nerd team. By which I found out a lot, but also that Andrew is a Slacker 😎
My grub hasn't broken yet; it inevitably will and then it'll be time to try out Refind. Been on my radar for a while now.
Thanks for the shoutout, keep them coming!
Al, Andrew, Kevie and Dave unite once more and settle down for a pleasant evening of beers and chat about goodness that is free and open source, or creative and common. They begin, as always, with a distrowatch dabble and thereafter split into two teams of two. Team Nerd, Andrew and Al, delve into the … Continue reading "TuxJam 122 – Refined rEFInd"
Dave, Kevie, Andrew and Al join forces to bring you more Free and Open Source Software goodness laced with musical notes from tunes licensed under Creative Commons. We begin with our usual round up of more unusual distros from distrowatch.com and then move on to review Kumander Linux.
