Simone:cthulhu:Today I uninstalled #duckduckgo browser on Windows. It took 1.52 GB of space and it felt really slow just to start-up - AI feautures disabled.
Just to compare with other common software: #Firefox is taking 380MB on the same machine.

I have read of people that collect data, like huge amounts of music albums, creating PAR2 files (of Usenet fame) to not only detect bitrot but also fix it.
I also never realized that it was a thing that could happen while a hard disk seems to be healthy. Paranoia inducing!
