After a think, I have removed the service-backed contact form from our performing company's otherwise static website.
The ways to contact us are still listed, and now there is one less way for a nefarious third party to extract personal information from our visitors.
That feels more in alignment with our values, and I'm happy about it.
Today our performing company email received an inquiry so vulgar that I'm unsure whether or not I hope it was ai written.
I may share it later, after I chase down a few parties and let them know their names are being used like this.
If one of you did this as a 'joke', please let me know and then get rekt.
There is little more frustrating in technology than the phrase "I fixed the thing which randomly broke by restarting all the bits over and over until it worked."
And yet, here we are.
It sank in that I've been "fancy camping" at #ThisOldClownHouse just long enough to need our backup drives up and spinning.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1...which is interesting, because apparently redis needed it specified on this network, as opposed to accepting 'localhost' like before.
Bewildering, frustrating, and for the moment, now fixed and off my to-do list.
Still need to upgrade the machine, but for the moment, enjoying getting all of our devices talking to each other again.

It may be a minute before I get to upgrade all the things though, as I am only vaguely certain which box I packed our server into before the move. :)
I can now, after a fair amount of swearing, add "has packed a stunt trike, a miniature penny farthing, and half a unicycle into a single crate" to my circus CV.
I'm an odd sort of "old school" where I thing I've been working on and talking about for months suddenly feels somewhat more "real" when I post about it on our own webpage:
I've also added an updated mailing address to the contact page, for those who like to send us things using stamps.
Please note that It's not the address of 'The Building', but things sent there will get to us in a (relatively) timely manner.
