Today's computer touching lesson is a reminder to myself not to add anything to a config file which I do not fully understand:

Somewhere along my rambling path to setting up vi/nvi, I managed to borrow a setting which disabled soft wrapped lines.

It turns out removing `set leftright` lets me enjoy a world where lines can be longer than my screen. :)

I am blaming the influence of @gumnos for my EDITOR variable now being set to (n)vi.

Thank you so much for the pointers.

I have apparently been using different installations of #MusicPD for so long that I was able to restore an absolutely awful earworm-laden playlist from twenty five years ago using nothing more than a text editor and a complete lack of dignity.

I can't speak to whether or not #typst is capable of replacing #LaTeX.

That said, it's a pretty neat tool. After poking at the (excellent) documentation and walking through the tutorial, I was able to start building good looking documents without any hand holding.

My use case is "using archaic tools like #groff to avoid fighting with gui/web word processors". If yours is similar, you'll likely enjoy playing with it.

Thanks to some long overdue #TechnicalJiggeryPokery, I now know way more about networks than I ever planned on learning.

I've also apparently found the "What's a VLAN?" to "I have over a dozen hostname.if files" pipeline.

After years of running `ls` commands to figure out where a symlink was pointing, today I found out about the readlink1 command:

I found my old quotebrowser configurations!

Moving them out of the way to kick the tires on the stock install.

@delta

I think I just got deltachat-rpc-server to build and run on #OpenBSD!

I still need to do some testing, but I was able to manually import an account and send messages back and forth without anything exploding.
