cybergothsBack from a great weekend at #FurnaceCon #RPGFurnace where we tried new things in how we ran the con for its 20th anniversary. I ran two games, played three, and had a great time. With this and #TravCon the previous weekend, I feel very lucky (and tired!) in my #ttrpg life. I will blog, once it’s sunk in. Great to see @satsuma, @satbunny and @eladrin amongst others!

After action report for #TravCon 2024, a small convention in the UK dedicated to the #travellerrpg run by #BITSTraveller. The con returns for the first time post pandemic.

First day at #TravCon done. I ran two games using #Cepheus Universal from Zozer in the Scoundrels of Brixton setting. Caught most of the keynote from Matt Sprange of Mongoose. Nice to see a #BITSTraveller event again.
This week’s reading as I finalise my scenarios for #TravCon in a fortnight. Crime and trouble on a frontier world near the Solomani Confederation. Making my mind up whether to use #Cepheus Universal or Mongoose #travellerrpg

@timgray101 Not this year from me as I only have #Travcon and #Furnace to go and I'm committed for the games there already.
@satsuma The nearest thing is #Travcon, but that’s much more focused (but hopefully emerging from COVID induced dormancy next year).
When @eladrin and I first kicked around the idea that became #northstarcon, we started with ‘what if we did a Travcon North’? (The first UK Travcon was near Halifax in Hebden Bridge). However, we felt that a broader #SF #ttrpg approach was a better thing to do.
Popped into #airecon2023 in Harrogate; bustling trade hall, lots of boardgames, slightly less #ttrpgs. Nice to see @eladrin, @satbunny and @BurnAfterRunning. Had a quick natter with @PaulBaldowski on the #AllRolledUp stand, who’s had a busy day. I may make a day of it next year; it always clashed with #Travcon in the past.
