@Level1Techs so If you wounder why you've to specify your Region and Location in #TPlink's firmware at setup or it'll only do 10mw @ 2,4 GHz, you can blame #Zensursula-led @EUCommission for that.

@Level1Techs also many #CPE|s from #ISPs have #Backdoors like #TR069 that can do much more than remote-configure the #Modem part...

- Which is why I'd only use any CPEs as "Bridge Modem" and put my own #Router behind that.

That being said, it's not #TPlink's fault they don't run vanilla #OpenWRT, because the @EUCommission went full #Cyberfascist in terms of #RadioSpectrum and mandates manufacturers to lock down & geolock their transcievers & device firmware to comply with #CEPT & #ETSI norms.

Is it worth it to buy into the UniFi ecosystem?

Currently a TP-Link customer and it's... Honestly neither impressive nor good. But I suppose it works, sort of?

I like my Cisco AP way more than these Deco mesh systems though.

Got a cheap #Tapo/#TP-Link cam to monitor Mocha (my cat) and I’m so bloody surprised how easy it is to integrate into #HomeAssistant. Only a single Tapo integration needed to be installed thru #HACS. It’s so much fucking trouble to add my #Eufy cameras which costs more than 5x each. Fuck Eufy/#Anker, honestly. Trash company.
