Nen #US - #Funkgerät importieren ist zwar nicht "illegal", die Benutzung entgegen #Frequenzzuteilung bzw. ohne Erlaubnis dagegen schon.

  • Und ja, angesichts dessen dass dieses Exemplar #TETRA - Meldeempfänger stören rate ich allen davon ab sowas zu benutzen, denn die @BNetzA tritt für illegale Sendeanlagen recht flink Türen ein!
    • Deshalb immer auf #CEPT-Freigabe und andere Standards achten!

Zumal bei #CB-Funk im 27 MHz - Band bis zu 4 W (je nach Betriebsart & Kanal) erlaubt sind und halbwegs taugliche Antennen echt viel Reichweite rauskitzeln ohne dass Mensch nachher nen Messwagen aus Bonn in der Einfahrt stehen hat.

  • Also ich würd's nicht kaufen, und stattdessen Leuten eher nen CB-Handfunkgerät, RTL-SDR (zum Empfang) und nen #PiZero als #Meshtastic - #Pager empfehlen würde.

So oder so jetzt nicht der Burner!

  • #EU-wide type certification for lights and reflectors.

    • "blinking / flashing and espechally "brake-checking" someone is considered "coercion in traffic" which is a felony that gets driving licenses suspended indefinitely. (#NotLegalAdvice!)

  • EU- & German #spectrum compliance for any RF emissions, espechally radar.

    • There is a #CEPT-wide ultrawideband-radar standard used for distance warning sensors on cars).

@blackforestmesh @bbk die Abschaltung des #HyTNAS samt #Notspeisung zugunsten von #Vectoring-Shice halte ich genauso für falsch wie die mangelnde #Funküberwachung von #27MHz-CB-Funk auf #CEPT-Kanal 9 (FM) sowie Umsetzung von #eCall aif #GSM-basis statt CB!

  • Davon dass die staatliche Nahrungsmitelbevorratung eingestampft wurde ohne Ausgleich für die Bevölkerung oder die massenhafte Nutzung veralteter (!!!) #Windows-Systeme in #BOS|en & #KRITIS hab' ich noch garnicht angefangen.

Conducted a talk introducing students of Design at CEPT, Ahmedabad to Kitab.cc and the work of visualising complexity (Manuel Lima).

Kitab.cc is a Visual Thinking Tool. Using it feels like journaling while mind-mapping. It supports note taking while also allowing you to build such maps using your notes.

@kallemp I didn't bother with #LoRa due to it being patented and #Meshtastic for tending to pollute #ISM spectrum.

Also #CEPT does have data channels on #CB radio that are allowed to be used.

  • Given the low duty cycle, I'd say it's worth using said #LicensingFree channels. Espechally since the only "regulated" part are transmitters and those are just transparent cheap boxes, so #AFSK will be fine.

OFC one could use this across any spectrum or means, ranging from WSJT - moonbouncing at extreme narrowband and high frequences to #UHFSATCOM radio piracy. Obviously I disrecommend the latter for legal reasons!

  • OFC one could also use it across i.e. #Iridium and other #SATCOM and regular #VHF & #UHF radios or even just print messages as QR-Codes...

  • It's just a shame neither multiple SSDs *and ECC-RAM are the norm on desktops and mobile devices.

@lowpass so yeah, a #CEPT-compliant #CBradio may be the easier to reuse option that makes it easy to comply with spectrum regulations and achieve good range without breaking the bank or having to spam #digipeaters all around the area...

  • Even if it comes at the expense of #AFSK inefficiencies...
