Tatsuike Benzaiten

Tatsuike Benzaiten is a legendary pond left by Senba Hie Shrine for the Dragon God. 🐲
Legend has it that the "bottomless pit" of Senba Hie Shrine is connected to the twin ponds.
From this location, which is on a cliff on the eastern edge of the Musashino Plateau, spring water gushes out and forms the pond, which flows into the Shingashi River to the east🌊.

Senba Hie Shrine [leading to the Pond of the Dragon Gods].

The origin of Senba Hie Shrine dates back to 830, when Jikaku Daishi Ennin, the Great Monk of Jikaku, invited Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine to the shrine when he built Kita-in Temple.
The present Hie Shrine in Akasaka, Tokyo, dates back to 1478, when Ota Dokan built Edo Castle and enshrined a branch shrine from Senba Hie Shrine to Momijiyama in Edo Castle.
