I will be doing my part as a volunteer election official sitting at our polls for 4 hours checking in people when they come to vote. I was just planning to wear a sweater as the gym in the town office is kind of drafty…. but now that I am looking at the photos in that VT Digger article in my previous post…

… I think I might have to be “on brand” for Vermont and pull out a flannel shirt! 🤣🤣🤣

Today is #TownMeetingDay in #Vermont where we will all go and vote to elect our town leaders… we’ll also vote on school budgets and various things like buying school buses or fire trucks, preserving open land, putting money aside for future risks, etc. (In our town one of the items involves replacing a dump truck with a sander and a plow.)

I'm sure I cannot possibly be the first person to say this, but #Vermont really needs to change #TownMeetingDay to a warmer part of the year. The first Tuesday in March is just ridiculous. Campaigning in the freezing cold is miserable. #VT #VTpol #ElectionDay

Today was again #TownMeetingDay in #Vermont and so I spent 4 hours from 7-11 as an election worker at our town’s polling place.

Today was a bit more complicated as we have 2 ballots: 1 for the town budget and positions, and 1 for the school district budget.

I was at the ballot collection station so I spent my time saying:

“The yellow one goes in the bin. The plain one goes in the machine. Wait for the checkmark. Would you like a sticker?”

It was a good way to spend a half day!

What really pisses me off about tonight's planned three-ring circus spectacle by #HairFuror 🍊 💩 🤡 is that it will be coming right in the middle of our #TownMeetingDay election returns parties here in #Vermont, which means we won't be able to avoid watching the complete and utter shitshow that it will undoubtedly be.
