One of the great ironies in #DoctorWho is when they had #DavidTennant 'put on a Scottish accent' in one of his first episodes (#ToothAndClaw) and then two regenerations later said "oh never mind the Doctor is Scottish as fuck now" 😂

Unlike other mamba species, which are typically tree-dwellers, the #BlackMamba (named for the inside of its inky-black mouth) is usually on ground in any number of terrain types across its large range in Africa. Blessed with highly toxic venom, it reaches lengths of 4.5 meters, and can pursue prey at speeds up to 11 km/h. 😱 It has highly-developed sight and often strikes repeatedly in rapid fashion from a shockingly far distance. Unsurprisingly, it's a none-threatened species. #toothandclaw
