And although it's effectively just a postgresql database with direct client connectivity, because they do not allow changing the database connection string within the client, it's not possible to use postgresql on any server you like, it must be the version bundled with the installer, and that must be v9.4

I mean... they tried years ago, and then just gave up I guess. "Fuck it, that'll do".
