This week started at home, then took me out of town first to New Orleans for the Online News Association’s conference (the ninth I’ve attended), followed by Los Angeles for Cranky Dorkfest (my overdue introduction to that avgeek meetup).

Sharp stawia na TiVo OS w swoich nowych telewizorach. Koniec z przeskakiwaniem między aplikacjami

Firma Sharp ogłosiła strategiczne partnerstwo z firmą TiVo, w ramach którego nowe telewizory japońskiej marki będą działać w oparciu o system operacyjny TiVo OS.

Jego głównym zadaniem jest uproszczenie dostępu do treści z różnych źródeł, takich jak serwisy streamingowe, aplikacje i telewizja na żywo, i prezentowanie ich w jednym, spójnym interfejsie.

Kluczową zaletą systemu TiVo jest uniwersalna wyszukiwarka, która pozwala na przeszukiwanie zasobów wielu aplikacji jednocześnie, bez konieczności uruchamiania każdej z osobna. Gdy użytkownik szuka konkretnego filmu, serialu lub aktora – za pomocą klawiatury ekranowej lub głosowo – system sprawdza biblioteki wszystkich zintegrowanych serwisów (np. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video) oraz ofertę telewizji na żywo, prezentując wszystkie dostępne opcje w jednym miejscu.

TiVo OS oferuje również spersonalizowane rekomendacje, oparte na nawykach i preferencjach użytkownika, oraz możliwość tworzenia uniwersalnych list „do obejrzenia”, które gromadzą tytuły z różnych platform. System wspiera wszystkie najpopularniejsze aplikacje dostępne w Polsce, w tym Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Player, Polsat Box GO czy CDA.

Nowe telewizory Sharp z systemem TiVo OS są dostępne w rozmiarach od 24 do 55 cali. W zależności od serii, oferują one takie technologie jak rozdzielczość 4K Ultra HD, QLED, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos oraz systemy dźwiękowe zaprojektowane przez HARMAN/KARDON.

Nowe modele są już dostępne lub trafią do sprzedaży we wrześniu. Sugerowane ceny detaliczne, w zależności od modelu, zaczynają się od 599 zł za 24-calowy model HD Ready, a kończą na 1699 zł za 55-calowy telewizor 4K z serii GM6.
