There have been a lot of really good really moving comic book stories I've read recently, but Gail Simone's Jessica Jones story The Variants is the one that really felt like a gut punch, the moment Jessica meets a variant who didn't have her defining traumatic experience and how she relates to her just absolutely broke me.
