I’m listening to #TheThousandEyes by #AKLarkwood and enjoying it. It took a while to remember who all these characters are, and I probably should have reread #TheUnspokenName first, but once I got re-acquainted with them all, I remembered why I enjoyed the first book so much. The scope is vast and so I feel a bit distant from the characters, but it’s still so creative and engaging. #amreading #bookstodon
I finished #TheUnspokenName by AK Larkwood (it was not bad, I'd give it 3.75) and have started #BlackEarthWisdom by Leah Pennimen. I've only listened to the intro but it's already fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for at this time of intense #climate grief & fear. I have found it always true that when I am feeling recruited into hopelessness, despair, and neoliberal futility, turning towards Black and Indigenous thinkers is where to find hope and a path forward. #AmReading #Bookstodon
I’m listening to #TheUnspokenName by #AKLarkwood. I’m enjoying it. The world is interesting, and Csorwe is a cool character (although she feels kind of distant and it’s hard to really connect with her). #amreading #bookstodon
