I’m listening to #1619project and it is such a powerful, clear history. I’m listening alongside still listening to #BlackEarthWisdom and it’s really interesting to see where the two books overlap - some of the histories referenced in Black Earth Wisdom being explained in 1619. #amreading
I finished #TheUnspokenName by AK Larkwood (it was not bad, I'd give it 3.75) and have started #BlackEarthWisdom by Leah Pennimen. I've only listened to the intro but it's already fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for at this time of intense #climate grief & fear. I have found it always true that when I am feeling recruited into hopelessness, despair, and neoliberal futility, turning towards Black and Indigenous thinkers is where to find hope and a path forward. #AmReading #Bookstodon
