#TheTuringTest for #AI has been boiled down to a one-line definition that frequently fails:

"Ask a black box questions and see if you can tell if the respondent is man or machine.

If you can't tell, you've achieved AI."

That why "the test" fails so frequently.

I went to college to study AI. The TRUE "Turing Test" lies in FOLLOW-UP questions:

Q: "Hey Google. Tell me a joke."
Follow up: "Now explain to me why that's funny."
