A research team from an electronics company move into an old Victorian house to start work on finding a new recording medium. When team member Jill Greeley witnesses a ghost, team director Peter Brock decides not only to analyse the apparition, which he believes is a psychic impression trapped in a stone wall (dubbed a "stone tape"), but to exorcise it too - with terrifying results...

🎥 Watched THE STONE TAPE on #Shudder & while it is laughably dated (and infuriatingly ridiculous when it comes to its sole female character) it IS eerie & compelling if you invest in the story- and there is one scene that is utterly creepy as hell, & makes up for a lot of its flaws, imo.
(It's still chauvinistic as hell, fridges the woman, & is shockingly racist in one scene. Early 70s or not, OOOF.)
