hambitiousSeptember 17, 2013: Fall has come, with it's crisp mornings. It was downhill to the river, then a long but easy climb up the Priest. There's a shelter near the summit, and in the log people write their confessions. One of the more interesting logs to read.
There was a school group leaving as I arrived; I passed them later in the day. At Spy Rock I took a break. I think this was the first natural 360° view since New England. That group stopped at the same shelter I did, but got there much later. After dinner time, I walked over to chat and eat their leftovers. The teachers were nice, the kids didn't seem as interested in thru hiking.
