ItsdanwVirginia’s Highland County Maple Fest was a fun day. There were even some snow remnants despite all the warmer days. Maple syrup, candy, bbq, ice cream, donuts, and cotton candy were all delish, and very good tours of some sugar camps. However, I think my highlight was buying a black bear tshirt from Teddy Roosevelt.
#FallingSpringFalls is another great Virginia waterfall. While I usually prefer a good hike in to a secluded falls, it´s nice this one is easily accessible to anyone right off US220.

There was so many different types of cool rocks with lichen growing on them in the #BlueRidgeMountains.

I first started taking #lichen photos in 2002 with my Nikon Coolpix 5000 when I was living/working in #Virginia. The #BlueRidgeMountains had nice big boulders absolutely covered in all sorts of different species.

Overview The unincorporated community of Churchville is located within the western portion of Augusta County, Virginia, named for Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha.
