@Sanderde #TheBeerStore had what should have been an insurmountable competitive advantage. What if they had started selling food? No, they lacked any business sense and now need compensation?!

Typical #DougFord. I swear he's a shit at everything as #Trump.

The LCBO and Beer Store systems were working _perfectly_.. and making the province gobs of cash, AND reusing/diverting all that waste.

Already shuttered LCBO and TBS locations because of other retailers and now your recycling infra is hamstrung. Like how did noone see this coming its so _obvious_. Like running a casino into the ground how do you DO that?

That's hilarious. So apparently, retailers that sell booze in #Ontario weren't told until recently that they have to accept, process, and recycle empties as #TheBeerStore does. Which erodes the entire $ case for selling #booze. And if The Beer Store sees a hit in sales but no reduction in empties, they're not gonna stand for it either (and they have clout).

Yet another well thought out #legislation in #Canada's biggest most corrupt-est province. #DougFordIsACriminal

'We feel hoodwinked': Ontario grocers wary of new recycling rules with alcohol sales

Ontario grocery stores — particularly smaller, independent shops — say new bottle return requirements that were sprung on them a week before they're set to take effect may make it impossible to participate in Premier Doug Ford's expansion of alcohol sales.
