The fraudulent text message asserts that the receiver must follow a link to pay outstanding "FastTrak Lane" tolls to avoid fines and maintain their driver's license. FasTrak, which has a slightly different spelling, is an electronic toll payment system used on California toll roads. Texans pay tolls through services like TxTag, EZ Tag and TollTag.
