Was auch fehlt: eine funktionierende Blogsuchmaschine β€” Rivva Blog

Found a directory on my web server back from the days when having the right banners on your website was very important. #rss #coffee #tibook #technorati #memories #nostalgia
Is there anybody out there who worked on #Technorati back in the day?
Man I really miss #Technorati. Can we bring that back? A central repository that receives pings from blogs about new posts and is searchable by text, tag, and popular links?
@chrismessina @tchambers OMG please give us #Technorati back

I came across an old blog post on my blog about #Technorati, it is/was a diary entry about my difficulty in bring my technorati links forward to my word press blog. I had a look for some insight as to why it failed. I found a recent summary,

Google vs. Technorati: The Great Blog Search War

The search engine that kept up at the speed of blogging created a β€œsearch war” with Google. But eventually, the speed of blogging just wasn’t fast enough.

@jameskoole now I'm questioning if it was #ISSN numbers or something else. I know that I had a plugin on my #WordPress site that would get an issued serial number from somewhere that was unique for every blog post. This was back in the hay days of #Technorati as well.

#ohhdirectory Reminds me little bit of #Technorati back in the day; this is a great website for finding up-to-date blogs.

So who here remembers how cool Technorati was to use, and be part of?

Just spotted a link to some #Technorati Javascript still lurking in my #blog template.

Removed that, and the ancient Google Analytics similarly lurking on the site's homepage (got rid of it from my blog years ago).

Hopefully sometime soon the server will run another validation check and give me a green tick next to my personal site link 🀞

Anyone remember #Technorati aggregator of Blogosphere until 2014?: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technorati? I wonder if something similar arises for Fediverse
