We hear more anti-tax stuff because it's socially awkward to say "I should be taxed more". If you're in the top 10% of earners, try it. I am, and I have.
It sounds weird because we're expected not to want to be taxed. But it shouldn't sound weird, and we should appreciate the need to be taxed.
Let's normalise asking to be taxed, maybe it will trickle up? #TaxMeMore

@PGBeattie I don't know how much could be raised, but I totally agree there are many people who can pay more. As a professional in my 50s I'm not on a 6 figure salary but I've been lucky with house prices & mortgage rates. I can easily pay more tax, and it seems a pretty good deal to me. I really believe there are a lot of people in the same position! #TaxMeMore
