Had chicken and vegetable soup for lunch. I was a bit nervous being mild to moderately emetophobic but it was fine.
However, pasta for tea might have been a mistake 🤢

Well, it’s done. I’ve had my first ever #wegovy injection.
It wasn’t as straightforward as I was hoping but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.
Feeling a bit dizzy and tired but I’m putting that down to anxiety.

I think I’ll distract myself with some puzzle games for a bit. I’m playing though The Room series at the moment. Nearly finished the third one.

I’m pondering when to actually take it though. We have a family thing this weekend, including a meal out that I could really do with not feeling like shit for so I was thinking of waiting until Monday. Is that daft?

I have planned poorly already.

My first #Wegovy pen has arrived.
They’ve also sent these.
Foreshadowing? 😩

I have had 8 emails in 3 days from the company I signed up to for glp1 meds. Admittedly a few of them are genuine administrative, confirmation of delivery of the pack etc.

But the last few have been just adverts. Two telling me I should absolutely pay more money for a subscription to their partner nutrition app.
Then just now an *exclusive* invite to a webinar where a FEMALE DOCTOR will be available to explain such topics as “what are vegetables and how to not eat the wrong ones” and asking the important questions such as “have you ever considered NOT eating takeaway ya big fatty?”

Me? Jaded?? Nooooo…

I’m going to be documenting this whole process in the hope it helps someone, but I understand it’s an intense subject for some for many reasons so if it’s triggering or makes you uncomfortable please feel free to mute or unfollow. I’ve included multiple hashtags including my own unique one so you can filter away.

After the fuckery of yesterday I was much better prepared and did my blood test and the call without issue.
I think I’m going to email them with feedback on how they could make their shit more accessible.
All I needed was a bit more warning of what would be required so my nervous system didn’t act like I was about to be mauled to death by a tiger.

The blood collection device is kinda neat and pretty easy to use. It would be amazing if maybe some NHS blood tests could be done at home.

Two things during the process amused me though.

Firstly, due to me wearing less/lighter clothes and possibly my scales being weird, my weight today was recorded as 10kg less than what I casually recorded/estimated when I signed up a few days ago.
So as soon as I was past the test registration bit the app congratulated me on losing 10kg already. Well done to me!

Secondly, during the call the agent apparently had control of switching to my phone’s back camera without me doing anything and this was his view.
