Unusually for what I always think of as clickbait-style Asian Dramas listicles, I loved A LOT of these. Hooray for #TWDrama getting some love #TaiwanDrama

🤯

In my eagerness to find a trailer for the Taiwanese movie "Hello Ghost" that is now available on Netflix, starring our fave actor from "Oh no! Here Comes Trouble," I found the trailer for the INDONESIAN "Hello Ghost" which looks almost exactly the same. And both released this year.

(It also has the gangster buddy from #TriadPrincess as one of the ghosts!)

Day 19: a drama that made you laugh

The Taiwanese drama Oh no! Here Comes Trouble had me literally laughing out loud so often. Just the deadpan physical humor cracked me up.

Day 7: Favourite character of 2023

Pu Yiyong in the #TaiwanDrama "Oh no! Here Comes Trouble"!

When I finished this series in October, my review of Pu Yiyong was, "He is somehow smarter than everyone and yet dumb as a rock." 😆 He is a delinquent teenager haunted by ... not ghosts but definitely weird spirit type entities. He is full of the most sincerest empathy for folks and so very kind. And yet still hilariously dumb.

From a recommendation by @geraineon , I just completed the 2023 #TaiwanDrama #OhNoHereComesTrouble on iQIYI. 10/10. I laughed out loud so many times and nearly cried a few times, too.

From Neon:

It's quite comedic but with a very good balance with the drama. And it's just, very full of heart. It's a story about a boy who has some sorta supernatural ability with calligraphy, and manifestations of human's obsessions going to this boy to seek help.

It gave me #DoctorWho vibes, kinda, where The Doctor can be silly but also has creepy and emotion-filled stories, like that one gas-masked kid episode. ONHCT swears more than Doctor Who. 😂

I love how the main character inherited his hooligan-esque attitude from his mom. He really does not try to "make nice" with anyone, and I love it. He is somehow smarter than everyone and yet dumb as a rock.

Watching the #TaiwanDrama #AutumnsConcerto, and it definitely does not beat around the bush regarding the sexual predator that is Mu Cheng's stepfather. Yikes. It also realistically talks about how her step-mom is stuck, staying on the stepfather's side as a survival method. Not cool, but realistic.

This show feels a little like #BoysOverFlowers?

I am mad at the lawyer dude saying, "Let's host a public investigative hearing, because that's a good choice" when it sounds like absolute hell for the victim. Both-sides-ing BS to try to maintain the university's face. In my opinion, the fists were the better choice against that predator.

I just finished the short (6 episodes, all <60 min) #TaiwanDrama (not sure on correct hashtag) #TDrama called #TriadPrincess.

Yes, scenes were over the top.

Yes, it ended on a plot twist that, being 4 years since, probably won't get resolved.

But! It was cute! The female lead was really bubbly and energetic and strong and uncompromising, which fit her role so well. The male lead was handsome, had personality, and a charming smile. Love the elephant jammies! Even the second male lead was a strong contender.

The bl side story was also adorable and adorably raunchy. 😆

It felt like there was plenty of room for more story to tell, especially around Hau Hau, the manager, the male lead's career, and the plot twist.

It was cute! I'd watch it again! I also would definitely watch future episodes if they ever made more.
