La Marina francese ha intercettato nella mattinata di ieri la petroliera russa Tagor. Lo ha reso noto il presidente Emmanuel Macron in un post su X. “Abbiamo intercettato nuova petroliera soggetta a sanzioni internazionali proveniente dalla Russia. La nostra determinazione è costante e totale”. L’operazione “è stata condotta nell’Atlantico, in acque internazionali, con il sostegno di diversi partner tra cui il Regno Unito, nel rigoroso rispetto del diritto del mare”, ha aggiunto il capo dello Stato. “È inaccettabile che delle navi eludano le sanzioni internazionali, violino il diritto del mare e finanzino la guerra che la Russia conduce contro l’Ucraina da oltre 4 anni. Queste navi, che non rispettano le regole più elementari della navigazione marittima, costituiscono inoltre una minaccia per l’ambiente e per la sicurezza di tutti”.
Un atto di “pirateria internazionale” lo ha definito il portavoce del Cremlino, Dmitry Peskov. “Consideriamo tali azioni illegali” ha aggiunto

The French Navy intercepted the Russian oil tanker Tagor in the morning of yesterday. This was announced by President Emmanuel Macron in a post on X. “We have intercepted a new oil tanker subject to international sanctions coming from Russia. Our determination is constant and total.” The operation “was conducted in the Atlantic, in international waters, with the support of several partners including the United Kingdom, in strict compliance with maritime law,” the head of state added. “It is unacceptable that ships evade international sanctions, violate maritime law, and finance the war that Russia is conducting against Ukraine for more than 4 years.
