We work on a severely endangered species, Arabis nemorensis, and this year, it was wiped out by the drought.

Today we saw that the #seedBank responded to the warm and wet fall.

This is a hotspot of hybridization, we should be able to monitor the effects of hybridization in action!

This bodes well for the coming season! #TRR341

We transplanted 5000 genotyped hybrids that form naturally in the Rhine floodplain meadows. We hope to understand the interplay between adaptive traits, recombination and incompatibility loci. All possible thanks to 25 students, curious to see what we do and willing to help on a saturday! #TRR341

Congratulations to my #TRR341 student Yasar Oezoglan for launching this massive experiment today! 500 F3 families, each in 10 replicates! We will see if hybridization allows the emergence of super genotypes!
