Sourdough at the beach! We are 100km from town, and our friend drove out to join us, bringing 3 loaves that she made, one for each family. Thanks to a teenage boy, ours lasted 5 hours at the beach. It was delicious with butter.

Apricots! We have a couple of fruit trees, but the Apricot is the most reliable. Usually needing to be picked the day before we leave for Christmas travel, or day of summer holidays. Nothing like getting rid of 15kg of ripe Apricots while you're still packing!
So, this year's haul was a far more manageable (and early) 6kg. I've vacuum sealed a few bags to enjoy in the off-season. Still got plenty of jam from last year. And have given away a lot.
After Merv died unexpectedly earlier this year, our family took a few months to recover. But now, here is an update on Dennis (Lillee), the cutest labrador you ever did see!
