Hello, friends
Today in Gaza is a very cold day, and the sky is heavy with the coming rain. I cannot help but remember our old routines, days when I used to love this weatherโwhen the cold wind would touch my face, the rain would gently tap on the windows, and my heart would fill with longing for days that may never return.
In weather like this, I used to make sure to take a day off from the noise of work, if time allowed. After my children left for school, I would live stolen moments away from the clamor of life, preparing my quick cup of coffee and enjoying the silence, broken only by the whispers of the wind and the sound of rain on the ground. Moments that were mine alone, even though I am a working woman, seeking a space to reclaim myself
Now, reality has become harsh. I live displaced, searching for warmth and safety, making sure no water leaks into my bed, fearing my child might go outside and get his clothes muddy, with no alternative for him. We endure all this pain daily and continue to live itโa reality forced upon us mercilessly, as if there is no place for us but the cold, hunger, and fear.
Friends, do not hesitate to offer help. We need you, your support, your hearts that may ease even a small part of this immense pain.
