@hehemrin My new #Thinkpad T14s doesn't have a #SysRq key :/ there's some key combo for it, described in the manual but I can't remember it when needed. Have to bring out the #Dymo.

Z was in control of the SysRq key and the whole point of the game was for the main party to gain control of it and enter REISUB.

My #Keychron K4 keyboard does not have a Print Screen button, so I can't do any SysRq calls 😔
In order to forcefully reboot my computer I have to physically get up and press down the power button for 5 seconds, like an animal.

Als SysRq wird laut Linux Kernel Doku eine "magische" Tastenkombination bezeichnet, auf die der Kernel immer reagiert, egal was er sonst noch so tut, solange er nicht komplett blockiert ist. Dem Kernel kann so unabhängig vom Betriebssystem eine definierte Menge an Low-Level-Kommandos gegeben werden.

As you know linux implements some type of mechanism to gracefully shutdown and reboot, this means the daemons are stopping, usually linux stops them one by one, the file cache is synced to disk. But what sometimes happens is that the system will not reboot or shutdown no mater how many times you issue the shutdown or reboot command.
