After having cleared both ears of the mahusive amount of built-up earwax within them and regained hearing, our right ear has decided to be a right git
It seems to have perceived the earwax being cleared as some kind of attack, so initiated inflammation protocols ๐คฆโโ๏ธ It is currently red, swollen, and sensitive, and producing a liquidy, waxy discharge, as if to try to build the blockage back up ๐
This has irritatingly mostly blocked the ear back up.
More annoyingly, however, the ear and associated area have become painful, so we're having to stay doped up on a strong cocktail of meds (paracetamol, naproxen, and codeine) to dull the pain, in addition to a decongestant (phenylephrine hydrochloride) and diazepam, to try to restore basic ability to function ๐
Plus we're intermittently using a bit of soft tissue to mop up the liquidy discharge.
Really not a fan of our body right now, but very glad that we have strong painkillers and other meds of various classes.
